Session Packages

Choose between a sunrise or a sunset session where we will spend as much time as needed to capture your fur baby in all their majestic glory. We can run, we can walk, we can chill, the little one is in charge. My goal is to make the little (or big) one as comfortable as possible with a camera, bring out their best energy and have you walk away with some fun and loving moments that you won’t forget.

Sunrise/Sunset Session $300

This is the sunrise/sunset session but now we include the whole family. Be it a single fur baby parent or a large family, let’s get you all in and creating moments with that little one. You will receive a few extra images on top of the normal package as I don’t want to take away from the main attraction of course!

All In This Together Session $400

The Whole Kit & Caboodle Session $550

Here we include everything from the All In This Together package, but on top of that you will be presented with a beautiful large print of your choice to hang on your wall. Printed on fine art rag paper for the best quality possible. The print can be professionally framed at an extra cost, just let me know and I will work with you to design your perfect frame!

Hi there! My name is Dan, and welcome to Lens and Leash Photography.

I am a father, a husband and when I’m not spending time with my family, there is one thing I love more than anything else. Photography. I’ve spent the last 20 years behind a camera, capturing the world in as many ways as possible.

My passion and specialty began with live music photography. Over the past decade, I’ve photographed hundreds of performers, covering multiple genres, from the Foo Fighters to Taylor Swift, Slipknot to Hans Zimmer. Along the way, I’ve photographed families, children, landscapes, and even had the opportunity to travel to Italy to photograph a rural wedding.

But if there is one subject I never tire of, it’s dogs.

There is something incredibly fun and unpredictable about photographing dogs. If I had a penny for every time an owner told me their dog never stops moving, I’d be rich. But that is exactly what makes it so enjoyable. Every dog is different, every session is unique, and every dog responds to the world around them in their own way.

Most of all, dogs show their emotions in the best way. You can see it in their body language, their expressions and their eyes. Capturing those moments and preserving their personality is what I love most about pet photography.

Of course! No where is too far. Gold Coast and Brisbane local areas do not affect pricing, though beyond that may require additional funds. I’ll travel across the glove happily!
Sunrise and sunset are known as the Golden Hour. Around 30 to 60 minutes before and after sunrise or sunset, the light is at its most beautiful for photography. This is when you get those stunning pale blues and vibrant purples before the sun rises, along with the warm oranges and reds that make for breathtaking photos. I find these times give us the best chance of capturing beautiful light and creating the best possible images from your session.
I typically say 2-3 weeks depending on how booked up I might be at the time. I will always strive to get them to you at the earliest possible time. You will see a couple of samples in the mean time though!
Definitely not. I have photographed dogs, cats, birds and even horses. The business is dog focused but I'm not biased by any means. I love all animals and all are welcome.

Definitely not. I am always happy to take family session requests, engagement shoots and even weddings. I do like to prioritise pets as my main work overall. Please feel free to contact me in regards to other sessions if you would like to.
We sure can. I am open to phone calls, zoom calls or meet ups. We can also meet up earlier to the session and get to know each other and your pup before we start the session as well.
All images are presented and delivered on a dedicated website as a full gallery with downloadable web friendly jpegs. From there you will be sent a usb containing hi res images that are suitable for printing and full screen on your computer.
Nope. Give me ten dogs if you have them. The amount of images delivered remains the same though and extra images will be add ons to the package. But the more dogs the better!
